me likey!

Patricia Field is designing a range for Marks and Spencers! Yay!!!! I have to admit even though I don't like the clothes the stylist wears herself (PF at London's premiere of SATC - not good) I love the outfits for SATC and The Devil Wears Prada. She has conjured up some seriously fab outfits! I was so envious of the blazer/knee high boots ensemble in Devil Wears Prada, and too many other outfits to name!

Described by Field as 'Destination Style New York', the range - set to hit stores and online in October - will feature 35 trend-focused 'luxury' pieces with a nod to high-octane glamour. The main onus is on to-die-for dresses, but the range will also comprise of a capsule collection of tops, trousers and accessories.

Field says of the collaboration: 'I really wanted to get involved with a brand who really understood women of all ages and who would work closely with me to develop the range in a way that was right for them. I have conceptualised the line as Destination Style New York and it consists of iconic womenswear including matching accessories. I like to see it as an expression of my philosophy of 'the democratisation of luxury'.'

My first though when reading this is with Comme Des Garcons launching their H&M line in November and this range in October, I might need to be saving some money! It shall be interesting to see what this range will be like. Although M&S has really upped it's game fashion wise (Twiggy, Lily Cole, yada yada) and it is not just frumpy granny clothes (well...not entirely true. They still have that section! Can't beat some frump action!) I am not sure if the range will be eccentric and off their target costumer, or If it will be an instant sell out!

I like how she is basing it on New York - I am heading there this summer for my holidays (So excited *happy dance*!) and I am hoping that it will be an impressive line!

Also...(this is very off topic) you know that you are stressed/crazy/loony/insert any other appropriate adjective here/ when you wake up in the morning and all you can remember is your dream of wearing these shoes -

And the surprising thing is, in this dream I don't remember my feet hurting! Must have been a dream!

Anyways, I doubt I will be getting a pair of these soon (bit of a hefty $770 price tag) but Asos are doing a similar pair -

Quite nice, no?
Of course Miss Sarah Jessica Parker looks pretty fab in her Diors...

Long Time No See :[

Well It's been nearly a month since I've blogged. Yes I am ashamed! Well when I actually get my life back (a little bit longer -darn those pesky exams!) I shall deffo be blogging more :D!
Anywho, today is the Launch of Topshop's Kate Moss Summer 08 range. I have to admit I don't actually own ANY of the Mossy/Topshop items as
1)Some items are waayy overpriced (Extortionate for the quality and the like)
2)Normally all those items sell out, meaning that thousands of designerwannabe items are floating around, and I hate hate hate (x Caboodle - yes it is a number!) wearing something a lot of other girls have
3)Some of the stuff is average. Nothing too special.
But in seeing the range that is on offer, I am considering buying something!

My Favourite Items are -

Photobucket

I love love love love love this Red Pansy dress (they have it in navy too!). I can guarantee I'll see someone wearing it in the next week, but eh, it's adorable! - £60.00

I love the detail and faded pattern on this feather vest - £25.00

This is perfect for summer nights me thinks. £40.00

Photobucket

More ruffles! :D The shape of this dress is awesome - you should see the back of this bad boy! - £85

Photobucket

The Moss has been spotted in this beachy creation. £45.00
Of course in true Kate Moss Style she has cut the bottom of it making it "individual" and shorter for that matter.

They may be a bit plain, but I adore the detailing and I think they would be perfect for summer!

Nothing But The Local DJ...

My stupid iPod Earphones have fell apart (Stupid Apple making gypy earphones!) - perhaps these could compensate?

Twinkle Twinkle Little Craftster Star

I am not sure if you are too familiar with the Crafster community? Well it is a nifty wee site with lots of crafts (lots and lots of crafts) and there is some really cute stuff on it!
Nothing beats this little beast I am in the process of making though....

It is an iPod cozy! Too cute, eh? I am in the process of making it at the minute and it is a tad tricky (I think I got the wrong wadding :( ) but once it is complete it will (hopefully!!!) be super cute! I am not the best at sewing and the likes, but I am certainly not the worst. I make a good pin cushion :D!

Anywho, I haven't done many outfit posts, but here is one anyway. Darn this April Month. One day it is glorious, sun shining, birds chirping and the next? Rain, angry stormclouds and some chilly wind! Grr!

Geek In The Pink

UK Glamour magazine has really upped its game! Normally its sort of been a magazine that I have passed off, in favour of Grazia or UK Vogue but having a wee browse through this months edition I was pleasantly surprised! I absolutely loved this spread, so I scanned it (not the best, I admit). What do you think of it? Personally I love the "Geek" look, and the featured glasses remind me of Hannah Cheetos glasses and Stephanie's amazing " mom's old sunglasses sans lens" glasses!
Also, how awesome is the model!

My Wednesday nights used to be taken up with Project Catwalk (the British equivalent to Project Runway), but as it's over now my Wednesday nights are a bit boring :(. This is the third season of PC and I loved it! The cute Canadian, Jasper Garvida deservingly won the series, I was just checking out his site..and wow! From the start of the show he has more passion than anyone. Even though he had a few slip ups (*aherm* The Mac Task) he always had the most creative and innovative designs.

The Mac he designed. And yes, the model is wearing no trousers

I love the structure of his clothes and his use of colour. Not only did he win £25,000 as part of the prize, he has an "exclusive deal" with Oli Clothing(they also have a range with PPQ that is pretty cool) but nothing is on the website so far.

You can check out the rest of his designs.

Highly Recommended. :D
